FR – Jacques Charlier participera à la grande exposition « I Belgi Barbari e Poeti » à Rome, du 15 mai au 27 septembre. Cette exposition rassemblera la crème des artistes belges comme Rops, Ensor, Panamarenko, Wim Delvoye ou Jan Fabre.

‘I Belgi. Barbari e Poeti’ reveals the intrepid pace, the turbulent, innovative and concurrently (alongside) soft and intriguing poetics of the Belgian artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Through a series of masterful works of the most famous artists of our flat country, the exhibition illustrates the originality of this hybrid nation, where grimace and carnival cultivate a distinctively quirky (an offbeat) humor. The self-deprecation stupefying the pride of our big neighbors is hereby honored.
At a time when culture in Belgium seems weighed down by lead in it’s wing, we are proud to organize a quality independent exhibition.
